ENERGY SAVINGS WITH OUTDOOR POOLS
Covering the water surface reduces the evaporation losses to zero. Covering with a well-insulating cover also reduces losses due to convection and radiation.
Covering with solar slats allows solar heat to penetrate and yield energy.
Energy costs are reduced by about 50 - 80 % when using a HydroDeck cover system. With a solar version of the HydroDeck cover, an additional heating is normally unnecessary.
ENERGY SAVINGS IN INDOOR POOLS
Evaporation cannot take place when pools are covered. This allows the dehumidifier and ventilation to be switched off. It also makes it possible to lower swimming pool hall temperature and relative humidity. This will provide savings in the following areas:
- Costs of heating the swimming pool hall, ventilated air and water
- Electricity consumption of dehumidifier and ventilators
- Maintenance carried out on building and equipment.
The large and robust slats with the highest buoyancy provide the best safety. This is sufficient for small children and animals. The choice of the roll system is also very important.
